Hello everyone,
We are one week away from the scout adventure of a lifetime. Before you know it we will be seeing the sites of Fort McHenry and the history of Washington D.C. and our country. As a warm-up to our adventure I went on a Pre-Jamboree hike to Stewart Falls and enjoyed the sunrise. The hike just a tad over two miles will be reminiscent of the terrain and beautiful views we are going to experience in West Virginia. We also have experienced the past couple days some afternoon and evening thundershowers, it is currently forecasted to do the same at the Summit. Our recommendation is to bring several garbage bags, to keep your gear, bedding and clothes dry in case of continueous rain. It's going to be a great trip. For your pleasure enjoy a few pictures from my early morning/sunrise hike to celebrate our preparation for Jamboree. Enjoy and we will see you bright and early next week.
