Wednesday, July 24, 2013 - Gettysburg
Check out from the Jamboree went real smooth and we were on our way to Gettysburg. We feasted at General Pickett's Buffet and then went on a tour with a step on guide, Chris. Chris is a scouter and comes from a family of Eagle scouts. His grandpa earned his Eagle in 1914.
We ended our tour at Gettysburg with a charge through the Union lines. This is a little known temporary success of the Southern army. They broke through the Union lines and charged the artillery, but the cannons were loaded with double canister that was fired at 10 yards leaving no one to record the success for the South.
